Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has been forced to leave one of his January arrivals out of his Europa League squad.
Clubs are only allowed to register three new players to their list of players and as The Bhoys managed to bolster their team with four, one man has had to miss out.
And, according to The Daily Record, Vakoun Issouf Bayo is the man to miss out for the games against Valencia and possibly others.
The striker is yet to feature for the Scottish Premiership champions this season as he works his way back to full fitness.
Jeremy Toljan, Oliver Burke and Timothy Weah have all been registered, whilst Leigh Griffiths has retained his place in the squad despite having taken a break away from footballing activities following personal issues.
The Verdict:
When considering that Rodgers was only allowed to register three men for the next stage of the Europa League, it should not really come as a surprise to see Bayo miss out.
Celtic have a need for a right-back and Toljan’s arrival will have been welcomed in the side, whilst Burke and Weah are performing well in the side.
However, the Ivory Coast international has a rather decent record in the Europa League this season, having hit three goals in his four appearances for former side Dunajska Streda.
