Chelsea travel to in-form Tottenham later today.
Terry’s four game ban begins immediately and will see him miss out in games against Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United in both the Premier League and League Cup, and Swansea.Chelsea have also revealed that they are taking further disciplinary action against Terry but details will remain confidential.

Gary Cahill is expected to step in at centre back for the suspended John Terry, whilst Frank Lampard and Ryan Bertrand both face late fitness tests for the league leaders, having missed both of England’s World Cup qualifiers, with a calf injury and illness respectively.
Both teams go into the game on the back of five straight victories in all competitions, whilst Chelsea’s last Premier League away day resulted in a win in North London – winning 2-1 against Arsenal at the Emirates.
Spurs boss AVB said: “In the end there is one thing which has been to a certain extent blown out of proportion in some ways – this is certainly not a personal matter.
“This game is not going to decide the future of both teams in the Premier League – after this game there will be 30 more games to play and both teams will have decisive matches in front of them. It counts as three points. It doesn’t win us a trophy.”
