Villas-Boas To Blood Two New Spurs In Europe?

Tottenham Hotspur are set to play their first game under new boss Andre Villas-Boas in the Europa League as the London club is set to face Italian giants Lazio.

This is Villas-Boas’ first game in the Europa League since he won the cup with Porto in 2011, a season which led to his profile being established in Europe.

The 34 year old has also promised to utilise the team at his disposal and unlike his predecessor, he has vowed to take the competition seriously.

Even though he’ll be expected to rest some first team members such as William Gallas, Jan Vertonghen, Gareth Bale and Mousa Dembele, it is unlikely he will rest all of them.

Clint Dempsey are Hugo Lloris are both set to make their first starting appearances for the side, as well as Steven Caulker and Andros Townsend being tipped to be in AVB’s squad.

But without the full team being known, it is hard to predict any result.
