Wenger needs to keep tabs on these 2 RB Leipzig players for Arsenal

Arsenal’s squad is one of the Premier League’s best as they seem to have a lot of depth in all positions.

However, it would be unwise for Wenger to rest on his laurels with the team performing exceptionally so far because Arsenal are prone to a slip up or two.

November also tends to be one of the toughest months for Arsene Wenger and Arsenal as it’s the month he seems to get the least amount of points from.

Right now though, Arsenal are two points off the leaders of the Premier League following their draw with North London rivals Tottenham.

It was decent point but one that Wenger will be disappointed that they didn’t take advantage of.

To avoid any further slips, the boys at the Tavern think that Arsenal should target these TWO RB Leipzig players in January, as they have been exceptional in the Bundesliga this season.

These two will add to the squad depth and may finally help Arsenal get over the line when it comes to winning the Premier League.

Naby Keita

The 21-year-old midfielder has only joined RB Leipzig this summer but he’s got off to a flyer with his new club.

Despite playing in a deep lying midfield role, Keita has scored three goals in his six league appearances for the Bulls.

According to our mates at Whoscored.com, Keita has the best average record of any player to have played more than six league games for RB Leipzig with a score of 7.55.

There ratings are based on a range of stats though including pass success rate, goals, assists, clearances etc.

It is not only his goals that have seen him ranked so highly but his pass success rate is the best in the squad.

Arsenal could really do with a player of his ability and stature as it has been long spoken about that the Gunners are missing someone of Vieira’s presence in the middle of the park.

They strengthened in the summer, signing Granit Xhaka from Borussia Mochengladbach but Keita would help, too.

Timo Werner

If the boys in the Tavern are correct, Wenger will have to keep his wits about him when targeting this lad as they think that Mourinho should target him for Manchester United, too.

The forward joined from recently relegated Stuttgart and has flourished in Leipzig, netting five goals in ten games.

When he burst on to the scene much was expected of the youngster as he became the youngest ever player to score two goals in a match in the Bundesliga.

Whilst at Die Schwaben he also became their youngest debutant and youngest ever goalscorer.

With records like this to his name at such a tender age it’s no surprise he’s been linked with some of the best clubs in Europe.

If he continues this trend of goalscoring form, don’t be surprised if Wenger comes calling because the guys at the Tavern still think Arsenal could do with more firepower.
