While the eventual 3-1 scoreline somewhat flattered Arsenal’s performance against Bournemouth yesterday, the Gunners-supporting punters in the Transfer Tavern couldn’t really care less.
For them, it signals the end of their November slump and at least puts some pressure on the top three in the race for perhaps the most competitive Premier League title for years.
So, our north London locals have taken reports from the Daily Mirror quite well, considering their current situation.
According to the report, Arsene Wenger is eager to send burgeoning forward Chuba Akpom out on loan when January rolls down.
The 21-year-old is reportedly highly rated at the Emirates and is thought to be making good progress upon his return from a lengthy injury.
Le Prof is believed to want the forward, who spent last season on loan with promotion-winning Hull City, to further his development elsewhere.
Following his stint on Humberside last term, there are understood to be many interested parties in the Championship.
The likes of Cardiff City, Fulham and Brentford are all said to be eyeing the England U21 international, who has made just one first-team appearance this season.
Our Arsenal fans in want this to happen, hoping Akpom doesn’t end up like Benik Afobe before him.
Is Akpom good enough to make it at Arsenal? Let us know below…
