Tottenahm fans in the Transfer Tavern are divided over news defender Ben Davies has signed a new contract with the north London club.
Since moving to White Hart Lane from Swansea in summer 2014, the Wales international has been forced to accept a bit-part role as backup to resident No.3 Danny Rose and an emergency option at centre-back.
Clearly Mauricio Pochettino is fond of the 23-year-old, however, with the Lilywhites granting him a contract until 2021 earlier this week.

But Spurs punters in the Tavern aren’t quite as convinced by Davies’ abilities, having been torn apart by Sadio Mane in February as the Liverpool winger grabbed a two-minute brace to seal a 2-0 win over the Lilywhites.
That’s not the only occasion in which Davies has struggled to deliver for second-placed Spurs and although the general feeling on Twitter was to congratulate the 28-cap defender, plenty of Tottenham supporters are seemingly against his new deal…
