West Bromwich Albion fans have shared their admiration for the decision of chief executive Mark Jenkins to take a 100% pay cut.
With football currently at a standstill, clubs across England the world are looking at measures to cut costs and save themselves financially.
La Liga side Barcelona were among the first to announce player wage cuts with the likes of Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi agreeing to reduce their wages by 70%, whilst others have since followed suit.
With such dramatic decisions being made, some clubs have gained criticism, with Liverpool being one of those after putting a large number of non-playing staff on furlough leave.
West Brom, meanwhile, have clearly been doing all they can to secure finances as it is now reported that Jenkins has agreed to take a pay cut of his entire wage bill.
Express and Star journalist Joseph Masi reported the news via social media platform Twitter confirming Jenkins’ decision for the remainder of the lockdown during the coronavirus pandemic.

Below are some of the comments gained to Masi’s tweet and Jenkins’ decision:
The measure of the man well done mark. Met him in October he loves our club and he alway has the best interest of it at the forefront of his mind and this is proof of that

Yeah I’ve read the statement on the Albion site. Superb Tbf I’m far from a fan of his but can’t argue with that at all.

My club, back at it💙

Full marks to the management team for this sacrifice – but should the club rely on tax payer funded government money for the non playing staff wages?
Feels like a Bank bail out to me if rich football clubs are subsidised.
