West Brom fans have been left feeling rather confused after conflicting reports over a potential loan move for Mathieu Debuchy.
The 30-year old’s last chance to appear at the finals of a major tournament is likely to be at Euro 2016. But with France coach Didier Deschamps already explicitly stating that only players getting regular football at their respective clubs will be considered for the France squad, Debuchy is reportedly looking for a move away from the Emirates.
In the 18 months since the World Cup in Brazil, Debuchy has only featured in two friendlies for his country.
With only two Premier League starts so far this term for an in-form Arsenal side, Debuchy will continue to struggle to accumulate a substantial amount of playing time ahead of the impressive 20-year old Hector Bellerin.
They state that when asked about the potential signing, Pulis rejected the suggestion with a simple ‘no’.
Should West Brom genuinely be interested in signing Debuchy, Pulis would need to cut current Arsenal loanee Serge Gnabry from his squad due to Premier League regulations preventing teams from having two players on loan from the same club.
Baggies fans, would Debuchy be a good signing? Let us know in the comments below!
