Our resident West Bromwich Albion fans have gathered round a smartphone over by the bar after HITC Sport claimed that manager Tony Pulis is set to sign a new contract.
The report speculates that an agreement could even be reached before the end of this month.
The word around the Tavern today is that Albion chairman Jeremy Peace has decided that he is happy for Pulis to remain in charge, having avoided relegation again.
Our West Brom fans were delighted last night after a 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur earned them another vital point in a big game.
Both Pulis and the club are believed to want the deal done as quickly as possible so they can best prepare for the summer, with Pulis looking to bring a number of players to the Hawthorns.
Saido Berahino is likely to be the saga of the summer in the West Midlands, with the England U21 international likely to be sold.
West Brom fans, should Pulis get a new deal? Let us know in the comments below!
