West Ham anticipating offers for fan favourite – Bilic, Gold and Sullivan will have big decision to make

The Transfer Tavern’s West Ham patrons are having to be separated by our landlord, and not just because one Hammers supporter has helped himself to all the jellied eels.

Indeed, our Irons punters are completely divided over reports from Mirror Football, claiming the east London club are ‘expecting’ bids for their star centre-forward Andy Carroll during the next transfer window.

In January, the London Stadium outfit reportedly fended off interest from three Chinese Super League clubs, who were all prepared to pay a whopping £32million for the occasional England international.

The Hammers were wary of leaving themselves short up front with Diafra Sakho injured and Slaven Bilic’s side generally struggling to find the net in the first half of the campaign, but it’s claimed they could be more open to parting with the 28-year-old in the summer when his contract will enter its final two years.

That’s created quite the split in the Tavern’s beer cellar; some West Ham fans can’t wait to get Carroll off the wage bill, having been thwarted with injury problems throughout his Irons career, whilst others have pointed to the fact the Hammers’ win-rate this season has been just 23% without the 6 foot 4 striker in the starting line-up.

So, Hammers fans, should David Gold and Sullivan cash in on Carroll this summer? Let us know by commenting below!
