West Ham fans haven’t had too much to talk about here in the Football Transfer Tavern this week. They’ve mainly been hiding away avoiding Europa League abuse and praying that Payet survives the summer window.
However, their media savvy chairman, David Gold, who is never afraid to share an opinion but is also refreshingly open with fans has given them something to smile about.
DG as calls himself when signing off a message has got Hammers’ fans on alert in the bar here as he tweeted stating that the East London side are closing in on two more summer additions.

One player expected to be announced is Sau Paulo’s Jonathan Calleri, after he confirmed the move himself, whilst another striker linked with a move to the London Stadium is, Champions League winner, Mario Gomez who is looking for any route out of Turkey.
