Many West Ham United fans were in awe of defender Craig Dawson following his side’s 3-0 win against Sheffield United on Monday night.
The Hammers produced a dominant performance at the London Stadium as David Moyes’ side moved into fifth in the Premier League table, thanks to goals from Declan Rice, Issa Diop and Ryan Fredericks.

Not only did they pose an attacking prowess, but defensively they were equally as solid, as Dawson put in an exemplary showing.
Per Sofascore, the Englishman made two interceptions, three clearances, won 100% of his aerial duels and accumulated a pass success rate of 90% – only Soucek made more interceptions than him (4), nobody won more headers in the air, while only two other starters boasted a pass accuracy higher than 90% (Mark Noble and Rice).

Because of this, the London Stadium were delighted to see Dawson emerge as a possible key asset going forward for West Ham, with a couple of fans even calling on the club to sign him permanently.
