Plenty of West Ham United supporters have been discussing midfielders that they would like their club to sign in the current January transfer window.
The centre of the pitch has been a bit of an issue for the Hammers this season. Declan Rice and Mark Noble have both featured regularly, but the only back-up to them is Carlos Sanchez with Jack Wilshere having barely played due to yet more injury problems (Transfermarkt).
It could therefore be that it is an area which new manager David Moyes looks to improve in the winter window as he tries to change the club’s fortunes following a poor start to the 2019/20 campaign.
Several Hammers fans on Twitter have come up with plenty of names who they feel the club should go for, with the likes of Sander Berge, Jonjo Shelvey, Kalvin Phillips and even Marouane Fellaini getting a mention.

My first choice is Franck Kessié, but my more realistic hope is Berge. Both would seriously improve our team. Recent “links” with Fernandes I don’t believe and honestly don’t want. Seen him, he looks great but he’s given too much time on the ball. He won’t get that in the Prem.

Sander Berge or Ibrahim Sangare for CM. Jarrod Bowen for AM. If we can offload Wilshere/Sanchez, wouldn’t mind taking a punt on Abdoulaye Toure.
