The West ham fans in The Transfer Tavern have been responding to a tweet from their club’s official Twitter account, where they’ve advertised a free open training session next Tuesday. The club tweeted a link to the West Ham website, where they’ve provided more details.

The fans have struggled to get behind the team as of late as results have gone against the Stratford club over the last month. The club sit just two points and one place above the relegation zone after losing three consecutive games by a three-goal margin. The Hammers’ last game, a 3-0 home loss to Burnley, saw the fans turn sour inside the London Stadium as a number of pitch invasions from frustrated fans marred the day.
The Irons are looking to get their season back on track as they aim to get three points in what promises to be a huge game in the relegation battle against Mark Hughes, Southampton. Southampton sit in the relegation zone and a win for the South Coast club will pull them to safety at the expense of David Moyes’ side. West Ham will need their fans to get behind them at every opportunity if they’re to stay in England’s top flight this season and the club’s invitation to the fans to watch Tuesday’s training is no doubt a marketing tool to try and get them back on-side.
