There will probably be a bit of restructure at West Ham as they look to build a squad that can push further up the league next season and a lot of the fan base are reacting to recent reports which suggest the Irons are keen on defender Antonee Robinson.
According to The Mirror, as cited by Claret and Hugh, the Hammers could sign Robinson this summer. He was valued at around £10m, but due to recent events which has seen Wigan go into administration, reports have suggested that he has a £1.5m relegation clause in his contract, per The Telegraph.
The Latics defender has produced some great defensive statistics this campaign, as he has managed 2.4 tackles, 2 interceptions and 3.1 clearances a game, per WhoScored and with European giants AC Milan interested in the 22 year-old in the past, Robinson is clearly a player that is held in high regard and considered a prospect for the future.
With starting left-back Aaron Cresswell now 30, whilst Arthur Masuaku is not favoured by David Moyes, Robinson could be the ideal man for the club to sign in the summer and it is clear to see why fans are excited by the news, given his stats this term and potential bargain price.
Here is how fans reacted to the news:

Would be a fantastic squad player – should not start but could one day play himself into the first 11. Incredibly fast, average attacker and defender. Basically a younger Fredericks.

Seen this guys highlights and I would be mortified if we weren’t stood over the fax machine at midnight with the transfer offer. £1.5m is insultingly cheap for someone who has so much promise in a position we desperately need to improve.

I see West Ham’s negotiation plan still failing. That is : Let’s tell everyone who and how much we are going to spend! Because that won’t inflate the price🤷🏻♂️

He’s a good young player who almost went to AC Milan. He’s 22 so will get a lot better

Irrespective of Wigan’s unfortunate situation, West Ham should be all over Antonee Robinson at a valuation of around £10m – seems a decent player and could have the potential to step up and be a good addition to the West Ham squad.
