It seems that West Ham United will not be making a move for Burnley’s James Tarkowski during the January transfer window due to financial issues.

The Hammers were linked with England international for much of the summer transfer window, but the 28-year-old ended up staying at Turf Moor. However, according to reliable Irons blog Claret and Hugh, West Ham will not return for Tarkowski. They already have a £25m obligation to buy Said Benrahma from Brentford, and Josh King is reportedly at the top of their wishlist.

Sold Diangana for Dawson on loan…. everyone remember that? Money was spent on another winger and not on the defence as promised. I haven’t forgotten

Disappointing but we all knew this was the case the minute Burnley wouldn’t accept our lowball offers. Could’ve really improved our back line but atm very happy with the central defenders we have
