Many West Ham United fans have been angered on Twitter, following a weak defensive display from Craig Dawson in their 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace.

In what was a lively encounter at the London Stadium, both sides could not be separated as goals from Pablo Fornals, Michail Antonio and a brace from Conor Gallagher ensured a share of the spoils in an exciting but ultimately disappointing afternoon for the Irons supporters [BBC].

Dawson cut a frustrating figure throughout the match, failing to effectively stop Eagles midfielder Gallagher in his tracks, enabling the on-loan Chelsea man to turn in the box and stroke the ball past Lukas Fabianski for the late equaliser as the Hammers dropped two points on home turf.

In light of the missed opportunity to go top of the league, no wonder loads of West Ham United diehards took to Twitter to criticise the centre-back.
