According to an exclusive update by TEAMtalk, GSB are set to give manager David Moyes a massive boost in the form of a bumper new deal for midfield powerhouse Tomas Soucek – coming after West Ham signed him permanently in a ‘great bit of business‘ over the summer.
Soucek, who has gone on to become a revelation alongside star man Declan Rice in midfield, provides that extra bit of muscle and aerial presence which is so huge for Moyes’ system.
Should West Ham offer Soucek a new deal so early?
Yes, deserves every penny
No, wait a while
Soucek offered new deal
Indeed, the Czech Republic international has been a pivotal figure for West Ham as they’ve climbed up the Premier League table into Europa League contention, and he could now being awarded with a new deal as a result of his performances.
However, even though this comes as a huge boost for Moyes, GSB’s move to offer a bumper fresh agreement is also allegedly to ward off interest from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.
Indeed, along with some other European ‘big hitters‘, Bayern have made their interest known – with West Ham now approaching the midfield dynamo’s representatives as they table a potential pay rise to keep him at the club.
Transfer Tavern take
Only just arriving on a permanent deal in the summer, this news could highlight just how crucial Soucek has been for the Hammers so far this campaign.
The 6 foot 3 monster is currently a mainstay in Moyes’ midfield, starting every Premier League game this season under the Scotsman, and the last thing the manager will want is to lose another crucial figure as Rice’s exit links continue to linger.
It remains to be seen whether the club announces this news in the near future, but if they do, it will come as a massive boost.
