West Ham: Moyes’ revelation has fans raging

Many West Ham United fans have been raging in response to a tweet from The Athletic’s Irons reporter Roshane Thomas. He shared manager David Moyes’ revelation that Michail Antonio is “still fatigued” and indicated that he is touch and go for his side’s FA Cup clash with Manchester United on Tuesday.
Antonio, who is the only natural centre-forward at the London Stadium following the Irons’ decision to sell Sebastien Haller to Ajax, was taken off after 74 minutes as the east London club drew 0-0 with Fulham this past weekend.
After Thomas shared Moyes’ revelation that the striker is still not fully fit on Twitter, lots of Hammers fans replied to his post to react to this update.
So, how have these West Ham fans been reacting?
Lots of the Irons fans who responded to this tweet reacted negatively, with many of them indicating that they think the club made a mistake by not replacing Haller in January, leading to Antionio being the only recognised striker in the first-team.
“Ah. Imagine if there had been a transfer window where we could have signed someone else to share his burden.”
“Absolutely baffling still the decision not to buy or loan a striker in January. Maddening. #WHUFC”
“Our 1 injury prone forward is fatigued from having to play every single game for us, and twice a week on average at the moment
Wow, who could have foresaw this!
Good thing we got in another forward, oh wait…”
“We lasted a whole week before our only striker is unavailable. #WHUFC #runbyclowns”
“Shame though, it was so obvious what we needed to do in the window. They really missed a trick.”
“How did we not sign a striker after selling Haller. Even a 6 month loan? Absolutely criminal”
Will Antonio play versus Manchester United?
