West Ham United have been enjoying themselves on the pitch recently with their form and it looks as though they are prepared to tie down one of their key men.
Discussions between the player and club have been going back and forth for a number of weeks, however, things could never be agreed.
Most recently, it was alleged that the Irons were not prepared to give him a huge wage hike, but now it seems that they have changed their mind and will do what they can to keep him at the London Stadium.
Rice has played an important role for Manuel Pellegrini’s side and even prior to the Chilean’s arrival, having been named the young player of the year in consecutive seasons.
The Verdict:

West Ham appear to have come to their senses about giving Rice what he wants and will be pleased that the doubts about his future could all be about to come to an end.
£40,000 a week for a teenager is a lot of money, however, the versatile defender/midfielder has shown he has plenty of ability and could become a legend for the Hammers in the future, should he continue to remain at the club.
In today’s terms, that money is not considered to be that extortionate and with the rumoured interest in him, everyone will be happy that a deal has finally been signed, should he agree to it.
West Ham fans – thoughts?
