According to an update by transfer insider Dean Jones, via West Ham Transfers, the club could try and sign Jesse Lingard permanently at the end of the season following his brilliant start as an Irons player on loan from Man United - prompting excitement from supporters.

Lingard, who was the Hammers' only January acquisition following persistent links to a striker, has enjoyed a fine start to life at the London Stadium - already scoring two goals in just three league appearances under David Moyes (WhoScored).

Moyes and the loanee Red Devil know each other well from their time at Old Trafford, with insider and Eurosport journalist Jones explaining that the club could attempt a potential permanent deal for the Englishman at the end of this season.

As a result of this news, plenty of Irons have flocked to discuss the development - find all of their social media verdicts down below.
