Flocking to Twitter, many West Ham United fans have fumed over the latest update on Andriy Yarmolenko's future from a reliable source.

The Ukrainian is one of the club's highest earners on £115,000 per week but has been a bit-part player under David Moyes this season, with his appearances largely coming in cup competitions. He also suffered the ignominy of being booed off when he was substituted in the home defeat to Dinamo Zagreb earlier this month.

Having played just 55 minutes of Premier League football, Yarmolenko is certainly on the fringes of Moyes' squad, with some reports suggesting that he could be sold in January.

However, as per a fresh update from The Evening Standard, it appears that the Hammers boss could make a U-turn on the player's future.

According to the reliable outlet's information, while offers could still be considered for his sale, there are some within the club who feel that his experience in Europe could boost West Ham's chances of competing in the Europa League, meaning they could opt to keep him on.

West Ham fans fume...

Given his sky-high wages and lack of contribution this season, even when he has played, it's little wonder that some West Ham fans find this claim 'worrying' given the club's arguable need for investment. Theoretically, Yarmolenko's sale could bolster Moyes' transfer kitty in the search for a new creative addition and emergency centre-back whilst also reducing the salary bill.

Taking this into account, it's little wonder so many West Ham fans feel he should be sold and aren't happy at this update. Check out some of their reactions below:
