Speaking to Football Insider, talkSPORT pundit Darren Bent has tipped GSB and West Ham to land a January signing - going on to say  'I've heard rumours' they've got someone in the pipeline following Sebastien Haller's confirmed exit.

Haller left West Ham for Ajax to the tune of £20.25million, with GSB taking a huge financial hit of over £20million given the club brought him in for a club record £45million (BBC).

GSB tipped to land January signing

Regardless, the Irons have been tipped to land a January signing in Haller's stead, with Bent dropping quite the claim as he has 'heard rumours' they've got someone else they're going to sign as a direct attacking replacement.

“I’ve heard rumours that they’ve got someone else that they’re going to bring in," explained the talkSPORT regular to Football Insider.

“I would have waited until the summer but obviously David Moyes has someone in line, I’m guessing Haller is desperate to go, it hasn’t quite worked out for him.

“They must have something up their sleeve to be allowing this to happen.”

Transfer Tavern take

Now Haller has officially left the London Stadium, Moyes' options for strikers appear alarmingly thin, and Irons supporters will be hoping Bent is correct and the club do have someone already in line.

Of the options that have been touted, most recently, Reims striker Boulaye Dia and Bournemouth hitman Joshua King appear to be the most heavily linked (Evening Standard).

Meanwhile, Olivier Giroud and Abdallah Sima are other forwards who could make the move.

Time will tell who this mystery name could be, but after Bent's tip off, Irons could get excited at the prospect of an pre-planned Haller successor.
