West Ham United: Fans react to Matthew Cash update

A lot of West Ham fans are debating about Matthew Cash after the latest update on Twitter surrounding the clubs interest in the player.

It is being reported that the transfer target has spoken to Sky Sports about his agent telling him that the Premier League side are interested in him, according to Sky Sports, via West Ham Gossip.

The player had been linked to the club in January, via Sky Sports, with the East London side offering £12 million for the Nottingham Forest player, which the Championship team rejected.

However, now that the Englishman knows of the interest, it will be fascinating to see whether he forces a move to the Hammers or elsewhere, as he was also linked with Serie A giants AC Milan, via the Nottingham Post.

This season, he has been playing as a right back for Forest, and he has scored three goals and provided four assists, via WhoScored, but he can also play in midfield and this versatility at the age of 22 is a great asset to have.

The West Ham faithful have had a very mixed reaction following this news, with some excited whilst others think that it is an unnecessary signing.

I would imagine that was before the emergence of Jeremy Ngakia. We also have Ben Johnson and Ryan Fredericks. How many right backs do we need? Maybe sell Fredericks and buy a LEFT back
