Paris Saint-Germain defender Thomas Meunier is reportedly on West Ham United’s radar according to The Express, and a lot of the fanbase are reacting to the news.
Since signing for the French giants, the right-back has made 128 appearances in all competitions, and has picked up an impressive 13 goals and 21 assists, via Transfermarkt, whilst winning four French Super Cups, two French Cups and two league titles.
The Belgian international could be a much needed asset, with Pablo Zabaleta nearing the end of his career at the age of 35, via Transfermarkt, whilst Ryan Fredericks has always struggled to stay in the starting eleven before his injury, highlighting that he has been inconsistent since joining the club, per Transfermarkt.
However the recent emergence of academy prospect Jeremy Ngakia at right-back has made a lot of the West Ham faithful disagree on whether the signing would be a good one or not. Ngakia has played four times in the Premier League since being promoted to the senior squad by David Moyes, and he has had tough fixtures, playing Liverpool twice, and Arsenal once as well as Southampton, via Sofascore, whilst making 1.5 interceptions a game and 3.3 clearances a game.
This stats highlight why he has impressed and raises the question as to whether the club should bring in a new right-back or let the young player grow into the position.

As a PSG and West Ham fan, he is not good enough for PSG but he will be great for West Ham, and he is a free agent this summer. Kurzawa is also a free agent this Summer and we desperately need a LB, so he should be a priority.
