West Ham United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are excited heading into the January transfer window after The Mirror revealed Sam Allardyce has made Mauro Zarate available for a loan move in order to make way for new arrivals.

The Argentine forward has failed to hold down a place in West Ham’s starting eleven following their strong start to the season.

And Allardyce is already considering bringing in some fresh faces and he is ready to allow the 27-year-old to leave in order to free up some squad space.

Zarate burst onto the scene after scoring in the Hammers’ win away at Crystal Palace but he has featured less and less ever since.

As a consequence of struggling in front of goal, he has struggled to get back into the line-up.

Punters think he may return to Italy having played for the likes of Lazio and Inter Milan in the past but no clubs have voiced an interest in him as yet.
