West Ham United: Transfer insider shares teasing boost as talks begin for Christian Eriksen

According to a report by transfer insider Dean Jones, a swap deal between Paris-Saint Germain and Inter Milan for West Ham-linked Christian Eriksen is starting to look tricky with a return to the Premier League for the ‘unbelievable‘ star potentially looking more likely – which comes as a teasing boost for the Hammers after they reportedly opened talks over a loan deal.

Eriksen, who swapped the English capital for Inter last January to the tune of £16.9 million, is being linked with a shock move to the Irons as well as other Premier League teams.

Insider shares teasing Eriksen boost

The Denmark international is officially on Inter’s transfer list, as confirmed by CEO Giuseppe Marotta recently, with an exit for Eriksen looking likely this month as clubs weigh up potential swoops.

As per this update from insider Jones, a PSG move for the 28-year-old playmaker has become more tricky, gifting West Ham and David Moyes a teasing boost as they join the race for his signature.

According to Nicolo Schira, GSB have opened talks over signing Eriksen on loan, and Jones’ news that the door ‘might yet open‘ for his Premier League return comes as an uplift for Moyes as he potentially eyes strengthening his squad.

Transfer Tavern take

The Hammers boss, speaking candidly in a press conference, refused to rule out the possibility of January incomings – going on to claim that he ‘might go’ for additions that spark his and the club’s interest (Football Daily).

As talks reportedly commence over Eriksen, the club could be boosted by this latest update on his future – but only time will tell whether he does make a return to England with West Ham.

There are obstacles to this move, like his reported £100,000-per-week wage, but offloading the club’s current highest earner Andriy Yarmolenko could go some way to making this deal happen.
