These are seriously testing times for both Arsenal and manager Arsene Wenger, who have a massive few games ahead in the Premier League.

The Frenchman’s future is now hanging by a thread at the Emirates and it’s safe to say there’s a fair number of fans here in the pub that want a change and a fresh manager coming in at the helm of the club.

The Gunners are under real pressure to get Champions League football as a bare minimum, with another trophy-less season very much on the horizon for everyone at the club.

But moving forward, there’s real thought here in the pub that there’s certain figures in the squad that really need to remain part of this team, if the side are to have any sort of success in the coming months.

So with that in mind and some advice from our landlord, here’s the TWO stars Arsenal really can’t afford to lose this summer…

Alexis Sanchez

He’s the man that has been caught smirking and sulking this season and he’s really beginning to divide opinion in the pub.

Of course, there’s absolutely no questioning his talent in the slightest and he’s a class act who brings real threat to this Arsenal forward line.

He’d command a hefty transfer fee if the Gunners did decide to sell but he’s one of the division’s best and Arsenal will certainly want to keep hold of him this summer.

Mesut Ozil

Another one of the Arsenal stars in this squad who has the talent to get into just about any side in the world, Mesut Ozil might not have shown his best this campaign but when he’s at his best, he can be absolutely unstoppable.

Arsenal fans are big supporters of the German international but like Sanchez, he’s going to be the subject of some real interest this summer, especially with another season of disappointment hanging over the Emirates like a dark cloud.

He’s creative, instinctive and exciting and certainly a player that Arsenal cannot afford to lose this summer.
