Leeds United haven’t been at their best in the Championship in recent times as they’ve failed to win in their last two fixtures, which has seen them drop behind Norwich City.
The Whites will be desperate to return to winning ways against Swansea City tonight in what could be a rather feisty game, as the Yorkshire club were stripped of the chance to sign Daniel James last month.
Although, it appears as if Marcelo Bielsa may welcome one of the club’s former players back to Elland Road at the end of the season, as according to the Sunday Express (via Teamtalk), Liverpool could use James Milner in an attempt to lure Jack Clarke to the Premier League in the summer transfer window.
Of course, losing the youngster would come as a big blow but it is likely to happen as he has all the ingredients to become a future star in the Premier League. So, the Whites should make the most of the situation by bringing Milner back to the place where it all started for him as a young boy.
It’s safe to say that Leeds would struggle to top a deal to bring the two-time Premier League winner to the club as he’s already a fan favourite from his previous time in Yorkshire and he’s still arguably one of the best all-round players in the Premier League at the moment. It really would be a dream for fans to see him back in the white shirt.
Leeds United would benefit massively from his experience, especially if they manage to secure promotion to the Premier League in the current campaign. And, his versatility would work wonders as he has the ability to play at right-back, which has been a problem position for the Whites at times.
There isn’t really a better deal that Leeds could make as nothing compares to welcoming a Premier League star back to Elland Road, knowing that he can automatically take things to another level.
