The club have announced that the music mogul who headlined Glastonbury this year will be performing at the club’s stadium as part of his nationwide stadium tour in 2018.
The 26-year-old’s concert at the home of the Magpies will be the fourth of his six UK dates.
Sheeran is Chelsea fan, which might not displease Newcastle fans too badly as the North East side often get the better of the Blues on Tyneside.
The club who are back in the Premier League are working on signing players as well as musicians this summer.
Unfortunately Newcastle boss, Rafa Benitez is set to miss out on Tammy Abraham. The Chelsea youngster is expected to choose Swansea over the Champions League winning boss.
Still, the Spaniard has Ed Sheeran’s arrival to look forward to.
