The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are drinking with excitement following the news that their club could be going in for Thomas Muller in January.
Reports from Ladbrokes news have revealed that Chelsea are now 7/2 to be the club to win the race for Thomas Muller’s signature.
The German has endured a frustrating last 12 months at Bayern Munich ever since Carlo Ancelotti took charge at the Allianz Arena.
The 27-year-old is now no longer an automatic first team choice under the Italian manager who prefers to use Thiago Alcantara in behind Robert Lewandowski.
Despite this, Muller is one of the most sought-after names in the game and if he were to become available then just about every major club across Europe would be after his signature.
Chelsea only have two strikers available to them following the Diego Costa saga that has been going on since the end of last season.
It is looking likely that the Spanish striker will join Atletico Madrid in January when the club’s transfer embargo is lifted.

Eden Hazard recaptured his best form last season as Chelsea stormed to the title following a tough 2015/16 campaign for both player and club.
His pace, technical ability, and surprising strength for someone of his size make him arguably the best player in the league.
LW: Thomas Muller
Thomas Muller has spent his entire career at Bayern Munich playing a possession based game.
Whilst Chelsea aren’t as extreme as that, Conte’s three-back formation does require each player to work hard and make space to keep the ball.
Muller’s hard work and experience playing in this style would make him a great addition at Chelsea.
ST: Alvaro Morata
Alvaro Morata has had a good start to life at Chelsea.
Chelsea’s marquee signing of this summer has contributed to two goals and two assists in the opening three league games this season.
Never truly given his chance at Real Madrid, Morata has the potential to be Chelsea’s main man for years to come.
