It’s been a telling couple of days here for Stoke City fans in the Tavern, as news filters through of a managerial appointment at the Britannia Stadium.
With the Potters slipping closer towards the dreaded relegation zone, desperate changes were needed to be made as Mark Hughes was relieved of his duties in Staffordshire.
And, they look to have found their man as former Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Paul Lambert has been given the task of keeping Stoke afloat in the Premier League.
Indeed, having spent the past 7 months out of management, Stoke fans will be hoping that the 48-year-old’s absence from football won’t harm their Premier League credentials.
Nevertheless, after last night’s 3-0 drubbing by Manchester United at Old Trafford. The Potters fans will be relieved at the sight of their new manager taking charge of the side, as Stoke City’s Twitter account took to notifying supporters of Lambert starting work at the Britannia.
