Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern quite frankly believe their side has too many unproven players.

Arsene Wenger has made a habit of nurturing young talent and presenting them with first team opportunity, but the Frenchman could be accused of jumping the gun with his stars.

The Gunners, who have just controversially lifted The Emirates Cup, despite going down 2-1 to Sevilla, are gearing up for their Community Shield clash with Chelsea this Sunday.

Wenger is expected to add one or two faces to his side before the transfer window slams shut, but perhaps the tactician should be thinking about parting with a coupe of his stars.

Francis Coquelin’s loan to Charlton was perhaps the best career decision for the Frenchman. As a result of Arsenal’s injury problems and after impressing for the Addicks, he was recalled and is now a fully fledged first-team member.

We’ve been debating and reckon these TWO Arsenal players also need to downgrade and move to the Championship…

CARL JENKINSON

Arsene Wenger cited a lack of confidence as to why Carl Jenkinson was hooked from the Arsenal fray last season. A short spell in the Championship could see the Englishman come good in the long run.

But, Arsenal may also be thinking of parting with the right-back permanently – Jenkinson hasn’t produced enough in recent times to suggest a drop in division would even be a surprise.

KRYSTIAN BIELIK

The 19 year-old was expected to join Norwich City on loan this season, but a move has failed to materialise.

Bielik is an exciting young prospect for Arsene Wenger, who would hugely benefit from regular football in the Championship.

Arsene Wenger is known to have high hopes for the 19-year-old. He was recently loaned to Birmingham City where he made 10 appearances as they guaranteed safety on the final day of the season.
