Despite often being left frustrated with Chelsea’s inability to sign their targets, Blues boss Antonio Conte appears to be closing in on a squad he is satisfied with.
And the Chelsea supporters in the Tavern are delighted with the club’s latest signings.
The Blues have settled for Alvaro Morata after missing out on Romelu Lukaku, but have been able to secure prime targets Antonio Rudiger from Roma and Monaco’s Tiemoue Bakayoko.
Roman Abramovich have also retained his profound pool of players this summer. Despite 17 players leaving the Bridge, most of have been shipped out on loan.
You do start wonder where the warehousing of talent will end, but the club continue to disperse their players across Europe, and more of the same is expected until the transfer window slams shut.
We’ve been mulling over the expected departures and think these TWO squad players should drop into the Championship…
KENEDY

The Blues sent the winger on a season-long loan to Vicarage Road back in August in the hope that the 20-year-old would receive regular game-time in the Premier League but it did not materialise.
Antonio Conte should send the Brazilian to the Championship for consistent minutes in the English game.
BABA RAHMAN

The full-back was sent on a season-long-loan at Schalke last season but failed to impress in Germany. He started just five games in the Bundesliga, before a bad injury wrecked his progress.
He’s a promising talent – Rahman is strong in the tackle, but needs to work on his ball retention. Perhaps a Championship side would be willing to give him a chance.
