There’s been plenty of transfer rumour this summer, but as it stands, Arsenal have still only added two players to their squad and that’s starting to frustrate the Gooners down in the Transfer Tavern.

The excitement over Alexandre Lacazette has been overshadowed by Alexis Sanchez’s ongoing saga. Will he? Won’t he? The Chilean has been heavily linked with a move away from the Emirates.

Most recently, it’s Paris Saint-Germain who appear to be first in the queue.

Yet, Arsene Wenger continues to insist Sanchez is going nowhere this summer – with less than one year remaining on his contract, it’s a statement Arsenal fans find hard to believe.

If he does remain a Gunner, the 28-year-old is one of few who are guaranteed a start in Wenger’s side. The forward is likely to take part in this season’s curtain raiser against Chelsea in the Community Shield.

Unfortunately, however, these TWO Arsenal players really aren’t nailed down for starting roles…

THEO WALCOTT

Despite finding the net 19 times for Arsene Wenger’s side last season, Walcott disappointed for much of the campaign. The main problem being that the winger is ineffective too often.

His poor form towards the end of the season saw him ultimately replaced by Danny Welbeck. Is he performing to his true potential or is it a case of what might have been?

HECTOR BELLERIN

The Spaniard endured a rollercoaster season last year. From starting strongly, to suffering with an injury, to being chastised by his own supporters. However, Bellerin finally finished strongly and impressed in Arsenal’s FA Cup final triumph.

Should Arsene Wenger choose to maintain the 3-4-3 formation, the Arsenal academy graduate faces tough competition from Oxlade-Chamberlain who impressed at right-wing-back.
