Some Wolverhampton Wanderers fans are discussing the contract situation that awaits Premier League clubs as David Ornstein revealed an update on his official Twitter page.
The Athletic journalist claimed that the top flight wants all expiring contracts settled by June 23rd and there have been three ways proposed as to how this would be done. The reasons given were if the player were to be offered a new deal, there is an extension on identical terms or there is no offer made at all. Ornstein added that approaches for those players are allowed to be made from the following day.
Tim Spiers pointed out on his account that John Ruddy is the Midlands club’s most senior player out of contract and that Wolves have the option to extend his deal by a year but have not taken it up as of yet. Other players in the same situation are Bright Enobakhare and Phil Ofosu-Ayeh.

These WWFC supporters discussed the news:
Big John would be great to keep at the club, ultimate professional. However would begrudge him wanting to move on for final year.

English number 2 experienced keepers are like Radiator keys.
Hardly ever use them but always handy to have around in a crisis.
If you loose one nobody’s got one to borrow you.
