Plenty of Wolverhampton Wanderers fans are fuming at reports from Fanatik that the Midlands club have agreed to loan in Loris Karius from Liverpool once the goalkeeper returns to Anfield.
As per the article, Besiktas have parted ways with the German keeper, who has had his contract terminated by the Turkish club. Karius will reportedly be paid 470,000 euros plus bonuses for the whole process to go through. It is now up to the 26-year old if he would like to move to Wolves.
Karius has kept eight clean sheets in 25 appearances in the Super Lig this season, and concedes 1.2 goals per game on average, according to Sofascore. He also makes 2.6 saves and averages 32.1 touches per match.
If brought in, Karius is likely to play second fiddle to Rui Patricio, which could spell the end for John Ruddy. The 33-year old has been a faithful servant, playing in 60 games in all competitions and keeping 31 clean sheets, as per Transfermarkt.
These Wanderers supporters were fuming after hearing the news on Twitter, with one labelling the German as “dire“:
