Many Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have hailed Leander Dendoncker after the Midlands club wished the defensive midfield player a happy birthday on their official Twitter page.
Dendoncker has made 72 appearances in all competitions since joining the Wanderers, scoring six goals. He has shown his versatility for the club by playing not only in holding midfield but also as a centre-back and a central midfield player, according to Transfermarkt. The Belgian international has also earned nine senior international caps for his native country.

Dendoncker has enjoyed a relatively impressive season in the Premier League so far, as he wins 5.3 duels per game, whilst also averaging 1.9 tackles and clearances in addition to 1.2 interceptions per match, according to Sofascore. He has shown his ability on the ball as well, averaging 32.3 accurate passes at an 84 per cent success rate in the top flight.
