Many Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have reacted to a post from The Athletic journalist Tim Spiers as he revealed on his official Twitter page that supporters voted for Alfred N’Diaye as the Midlands club’s best loan signing since 2000.
Amongst the other nominations were Allan Nielsen, Mikkael Bischoff, Tom Huddlestone, Michael Mancienne, Jack Robinson and Joao Teixeira, but it was N’Diaye that swept them all aside with 46.2 per cent of the share.
Indeed, the 30-year-old played his part in Wolves’ Championship winning season in 2017/18, making 37 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing two assists, according to Transfermarkt.
The Senegalese international played predominantly in the defensive midfield position, giving licence for the likes of Ruben Neves to roam further forward to support the attack.
N’Diaye has managed 377 appearances in all competitions over the course of his club career, netting 25 times and making 13 assists, as per the website.
These WWFC supporters reacted to the tweet, with one fan labelling their former man an ‘absolute beast’ and others coming up with their own suggestions:
