Wolverhampton Wanderers: Fans react to ‘stunning strike’ from Mark Walters

Some Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have reacted to a throwback goal from former man Mark Walters that was posted on the Midlands club’s official Twitter page.

As the footage showed, Walters cut in from the flank before unleashing a curling effort with his left foot into the bottom corner from outside of the box, before going on to celebrate with his teammates. The tweet described it as a ‘stunning strike’ as the 55-year old scored against Southend United at Molineux back on the 13th September 1994.

Indeed, the winger arrived at Wolves at the start of the 1994/95 season on loan from Liverpool and marked his debut, the first of 11 consecutive appearances before returning to Anfield, by firing an unstoppable left-footed strike into the corner to help WWFC to a stunning 5-0 win, as per the club’s official website.
