Plenty of Wolverhampton Wanderers fans are split on whether the Midlands club should let John Ruddy go after a report from Fotomac has linked the veteran goalkeeper with a move to Besiktas.
The Turkish club see Ruddy as a potential replacement for Liverpool’s Loris Karius, who is currently only on loan in Turkey and therefore may not be available for next season.
The 26-year old has eight clean sheets in the Super Lig this campaign, and averages 2.6 saves per league match, according to Sofascore.
Ruddy has had to play second fiddle to Rui Patricio since the Portuguese international was brought in to match the Wanderers’ Premier League ambitions, and he has so far made just 15 appearances in all competitions since the back end of last term, as per Transfermarkt. However, in Wolves’ promotion campaign, the 33-year old played in 45 Championship matches.
These WWFC supporters have not forgotten about his services, and some were split as to whether they should keep or sell the Englishman on Twitter:
At 33, with premier league experience, he shouldn't be a back up keeper. I rate the guy but I think he needs to move on.

I’d love ruddy to stay he’s an excellent option as a number 2. But he’s too good to warm the bench week in and out. If he decides to stay good… if he leaves I’ll wish him well

As much as I like him to stay. I say go get a payday and European football as a number one he deserves it. He’s going to be a great future coach/manager so welcome back anytime.
