Wolverhampton Wanderers fans were feeling unhappy after Dion Sanderson was linked with a move to Aston Villa.
According to Football Insider, the Premier League outfit have set their sights on signing the 20-year-old on a loan deal in the summer transfer window. However, they face competition from his current club Cardiff City, who want to keep the defender for the whole of next season. Sanderson has been impressive during his time with the Bluebirds and has won 2.3 aerial duels, 1.7 tackles and made 2.7 interceptions per game in the Championship, as per WhoScored.
The Englishman has even notched up an assist in Cardiff’s 2-0 win over Barnsley earlier this month. He was praised by Neil Harris following his debut with the manager claiming he showed character and heart (via Birmingham Mail). Supporters were unhappy with the fact the youngster was linked with a move to one of their rivals as they took to Twitter to react to the reports.
