Many Wolves fans have been reacting to the news that Francisco Trincao has tested positive for Covid-19 and has withdrawn from the Portugal national team.
Trincao, 21, already has six caps for the Portugal national team, with his last one coming back in April when they defeated Qatar 3-1 prior to the European Championships.
In 2020, he started against Spain, Andorra and Croatia, and received another call-up earlier this week, set to be part of Fernando Santos’ team as they face Qatar again on Saturday before Luxembourg on Tuesday,
However, according to B24 [via Talking Wolves on Twitter], the winger has been forced to withdraw from the squad due to a positive test and has been replaced by his Wolves team-mate Nelson Semedo.
