Plenty of Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have been discussing Ruben Vinagre after a transfer link for Rayan Ait-Nouri emerged that could see the Portuguese defender leave Molineux in the summer transfer window.
As per Tutto Mercato Web, Manchester City have already made contact with Ait-Nouri and are trying to close a deal but would then send him on loan to La Liga for a season. However, the outlet also claims that Wolves would be on the player’s trail and it could spell the end for the 21-year-old at Molineux as they play in similar positions.
Comparing the two men in their respective domestic leagues this campaign, the Angers man averages more tackles, interceptions, clearances, key passes and dribbles per game, according to Whoscored. Based off these stats, Ait-Nouri seems like the better option both defensively and in attacking areas.
