Many Wolves fans reacted in delight after their club was linked with former Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa.
Reports suggested that the former Chelsea frontman is being targeted by the Black Country club for a possible move to Molineux, after he was released from his contract with El Atleti.
This means that Nuno could land the 32-year-old on a free transfer if contract terms can be agreed between the two parties.
Costa has had a successful career as a whole, having scored 181 goals throughout his career, including 58 strikes for Chelsea and 83 for the red half of the Spanish capital (TransferMarkt).
Should Wolves sign Diego Costa in January?

No
With this in mind, supporters were delighted with the links, with many suggesting that he would be a good fit and would mould into the shoes of Raul Jimenez, who was recently ruled out with a fractured skull.

“Definite Yes for ability and maybe for personality”
“He Is the replacement for Raúl Jiménez”
“If it happens then it can be a good thing…no one likes him but his presence and ability is worth a lot. No one other than the pros are qualified to question his ability. He’d be a great stop-gap and if Nuno is in for him then I trust his judgement totally.”
“Always loved Costa, would be a dream to watch him in a Wolves shirt”
“Every time I see this link I get more and more convinced”
“More than happy for us to sign him”
