Wolves: Molineux club ‘annoyed’ as contract talks stall with Adama Traore

Wolverhampton Wanderers have been left frustrated as contract talks have stalled with star winger Adama Traore, according to reports.

Traore frustrates Molineux club

The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Molineux in the summer, with Liverpool and Manchester City being the front runners (via talkSPORT).

Traore has been impressive for Wolves since his £18m move from Middlesbrough, playing a significant part in their back-to-back seventh-placed finishes in their first two seasons back in the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp is a huge fan of the Spaniard, describing him as “unplayable” when his side came up against him last season (cited by Goal).

With this in mind, the West Midlands outfit are keen to reward him for his efforts. But according to 90MIN, issues with Traore’s agent have been delaying proceedings, annoying Wolves.

The report added that the stalling has become a ‘source of frustration’ after an agreement was initially reached over a new contract, before Traore and his agent took this latest decision not to sign on the dotted line.

Transfer Tavern take

It seems as if Traore’s entourage are in no rush to commit his future to Wolves – with other clubs showing interest in him perhaps they are hoping for a big pay day.

But with the West Midlands outfit having competed regularly in Europe, and only just missing out last season because of Arsenal’s FA Cup win, one would hope Nuno and the club can do enough to convince him to stay.

That being said, it is poor that he is stalling on signing the contract, reportedly going back on a previous agreement with Wolves.

In other news, Tim Spiers drops subtle hint that could see 10-year Wolves record broken.
