Pedro Neto recently put pen to paper on a new contract that will keep him at Wolves until 2025, and one man has been singing his praises.
Neto is the next Jota?
The 20-year-old joined the club last summer from Sporting Braga, along with Bruno Jordao, after they both spent the previous two years together at Lazio (via the club’s official website).
Since his arrival, Neto has scored six goals and provided seven assists from 52 appearances (TransferMarkt), which led to him being described as “fearless” by the Athletic’s Tim Spiers (cited by This is Futbol).

The journalist also tweeted from his official Twitter account on Tuesday, on the subject of how he wishes Jota all the best at his new club but insisted that it was the right call by the Molineux club to part ways.
But on the back of Neto extending his stay with Wolves, here is what his thoughts are about the Portugal U21 international.

It is a big claim, but Spiers could be onto something if Neto proves why he deserves his contract.
With Wolves profiting £41m from the sale of Jota, Neto has the chance to step into his shoes and even do more than what his Portuguese counterpart managed to achieve during his time at Molineux.
While the supporters will be happy with his new contract, it’s time for the talking to stop and for the walking to start.
