Many Wolves fans have been flocking to a social media post from Tim Spiers involving Adama Traore, with supporters ready to give up on the inconsistent wing wizard.
Writing in his latest piece for The Athletic, the journalist cited some comments made recently on the Spaniard by Bruno Lage, where he said: “Sometimes the game is more Adama against Adama.
“Which Adama will turn up? The one who started the season so well… or the other Adama who played against Leeds and he’s not there.”
Traore has not always started under Lage this season, and has only played the full 90 minutes in five games in the Premier League so far, while he has also not managed to score a goal or grab an assist yet either (Transfermarkt).
Would you consider letting Traore go to a direct rival for the right price?
Of course, the Molineux faithful know what he is capable of with the ball at his feet, as his average of five dribbles per match in the top flight so far this term is the most out of any player in the division (WhoScored).
However, with contract talks still stalling in the Midlands, it may be an option for WWFC to sell him in the January transfer window.
Given his poor form, and the fact that he does not seem to want to sign a new deal, some Wanderers supporters have now called for them to sell him.
Wolves fans on Traore
These Wolves fans flocked to the post as it was shared on Twitter, urging the club to sell, with one even going as far as to claim that he has ‘peaked’:
“No end product. Not worth what he is asking. Sell and reinvest, lucky to get £20m.”
“Need to sell him and get someone with end product”
“He’s beyond coaching! He’s at his level, would love to see him improve even elsewhere! Can you see him in front of Henderson at LFC?”
“He’s peaked, sell him.”
“As I have said on other tweets, sell him abroad and buy someone who works in both directions.”
“Been talking about his end product for 4 years now, time to move on. We got the best out of him during the Championship and first Prem season, teams now know how to stop him and he’s not effective as he was for us”
