Some Wolves fans have been left gushing over some comments made by Bruno Lage ahead of their game at home to Brentford in the Premier League.
As quoted by The Express & Star, the Portuguese manager has urged his team to be hard to beat ahead of the match at Saturday lunchtime: “But I said to them ‘boys, when you play the other teams, they need to feel we are not nice guys. They need to feel you are a hard team to beat.’ They need to feel it.”
Should Wolves have hired Lage?
The Midlands club actually have a decent defensive record so far in the Premier League, conceding just three goals in their first four fixtures, but could do with being more ruthless in front of goal, given that they have only scored twice (Premier League) despite dominating large parts of matches.
At Molineux in front of their home crowd against a newly-promoted side gives them the perfect opportunity to add that ruthlessness into their game, and WWFC supporters were impressed by Lage’s mentality ahead of it.
