Some Wolves fans have been criticising the performance of Francisco Trincao in their 2-0 home loss to Brentford in the Premier League at Saturday lunchtime.
It was a frustrating day for the Midlands club as two goals in the first half from Ivan Toney and Bryan Mbuemo ultimately sunk them in the end, despite the Bees having Shandon Baptiste sent off just shy of the hour mark for a second yellow card.
Should Wolves have signed Trincao?
It was a very frustrating day for Trincao, who lost four of his duels and also failed to record a single shot on target or accurate cross, while also losing possession of the ball on 10 different occasions in the match, the joint-fifth most of any of his teammates (Sofascore).
Of course, it is early days in his Wolves career, but the Portugal international will hope to do better over the next set of fixtures.
Wolves fans on Trincao display
These Wolves supporters on Twitter blasted his performance, with one claiming that the 21-year-old was ‘very poor’ today:
“Neves, Trincao and Raul have been so so poor and off the pace today. Praying Raul gets back to his old self.”
“We are getting bullied. Trincao looks lost, we are poor. Where is this team going?”
“Trincao’s been way off today.”
“Trincao has been very poor today.”
“How is Trincao still on the pitch?”
“Saiss, Coady, Marcal, Trincao, Raul. Get these lot out of the starting XI”
